The Diagnostic Reading Centre of Calgary (DRCC) provides specialized, diagnostic language and literacy assessment and intervention for children, adolescents, and adults with significant and persistent challenges in language, reading, and/or writing development.
The main aims of the DRCC assessment and intervention services:

To identify each individual’s specific strengths and difficulties in language and literacy development, AND

To establish a remediation plan for addressing each individual’s particular language and literacy challenges.
Literacy assessment
We identify which areas of reading, writing, and language development are problematic for each learner.
We establish personal goals and customize a remediation plan of weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions to address each learner’s specific literacy challenges.
We provide private consultation and presentations on a range of topics related to language and literacy development and the challenges that learners encounter.

The director and primary reading clinician at the DRCC is a language and literacy education specialist with more than 30 years of teaching experience and research in current language and literacy education, assessment, and instruction.
