The Diagnostic Reading Centre of Calgary (DRCC)provides supports to individuals who have a history of learning difficulties.
These learners have either been diagnosed with or are suspected of having a learning disability and/or Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) which affects their reading and writing development (i.e., Specific Learning Disorder with impairment in reading (dyslexia) and/or written expression).
They typically have received additional support at school or through private and/or franchised tutoring agencies and have found that the generic and repetitive types of learning tasks did not effectively address their particular reading and writing difficulties.
The DRCC offers specialized, diagnostic assessment to identify which aspects of language and literacy are underdeveloped and targeted intervention to help learners overcome their specific challenges in language, reading, and writing.
Strong literacy skills provide the keys for opening doors to new opportunities. If you or someone you know has a history of reading, writing, and/or language difficulties, the DRCC can help.
